People crossing the border from Gaza to Israel

HI – and welcome to episode 5 of One Weekly Gun 2008.

This week is about the inevitable Middel East. Israel decided to shut down electricity in Gaza and last week it culminated in people crossing the border to Egypt to buy fuel, food and necessities.

Several egyptian shops have made a small fortune from the border breach.

The song is mostly an expression of the dispair in the heads of people in Gaza. I travelled there once. Made some friends and had a terrific time.

Now it’s a hole in the ground.

I’m proud to introduce my first guest star: Captain Woman on vocals!

We’ve got ours
That’s where it hurts the most
We’ve got ours to take care of
That’s where it hurts the most

When we’re alone
without any lights and friends
we start to pretend,
that someone is wathing over us and our friends

We are eager to get a job
In the morning we’ll get up
Drink the coffee we can’t afford
and breach the border that was drawn by our friends

We’ve got ours
That’s where it hurts the most
We’ve got ours to take care of
That’s where it hurts the most
